Had some feelings of trepidation about this week as I knew I had to run for 5 mins but I've only gone and done it!!! 😱

Quite muggy here this morning too so was glad to have my water with me as I poured it down my shirt a few times!

Congratulations! Feels good right? I've just this second finished W4R1 myself and it was sooo much better than I thought! Made the mistake of taking my small dog with me, which slightly ruined two of my runs where I thought he'd got lost 😂 so won't be bringing him again! I'm sure he loved it though 😒

Well done anyway!

Well done you too! It does feel good. When Sarah said I should feel proud of myself, I said that I did!

Considering in week 1 whenever she told me I was doing great I disagreed with her 😂

That’s brilliant !! I’m sure doggie loves it. I don’t bring our little cavvie with me - he’s pretty fit but not so good at dealing with muggy weather & would also prob go running after the rabbits on the route! 🤣👍👏

Mine is a (big) chihuahua who loves running! But unfortunately needed to be absolutely dragged through the warm up walk as he wanted to sniff every step, and kept disappearing throughout the run! Very distracting 😂 he's absolutely pooped now!

Water is great for the back of the neck or wrists...well done you. Not easy running in this sticky, humid weather:)

Well done, I’m going to try and go 7 am latest when I get to that stage so it’s hopefully not too hot 🥵

I'm usually out before 7 most days. Less people around then! It was 16 degrees when I got in the car to go and 19 when I got back!

Just read your posts - love your journey... I’ve been very similar but only found the webpage last week.... as you say I was in shock

1 minute sounds a breeze but it’s actually a challenge when you’re starting out

3 minutes - after the reality check I had at running for 1 minute I thought will I do it? .. I did! 👏

5 minutes - wow how chuffed I was ..

the 5 min runs get embedded and I’m now at the stage where I need to run 8 mins.. but will face it like I have done all the others - trust in the app and the journey it’s taken me on

And throw my hands up in the air when the words ‘congratulations you’ve done it’ rings in my ears 👍😳

We are all turning into runners - well done to us all 👏👏👏

Thank you! It's really helpful to read other peoples accounts I think, so thought I'd add mine too. I'm actually enjoying it so much and I never thought I would!

Ditto! I’ve loved reading them... it’s really helped... who knew I’ve swapped shopping for running and I’m loving it 🏃🏽‍♀️

I thought I was doing it out of necessity for keeping fit and enjoying it wouldn’t be a factor... but it is!

Congratulation, what an achievement, from nothing to 5 minutes continuous running, well done!

I’ll be venturing out this afternoon for the same run. I usually take the pooch as I go that slow she just trots along side me but I’ll see how humid it is for her first. Following your journey 😁

Thank you and good luck for your run. Its really starting to heat up here. The sun is shining so I'm glad I went early as I did try to talk myself out of it!

Well done! I just did W4R1 yesterday and today is a rest day. R2 tomorrow. Now that I’ve done it once, I’m not anxious about it. I just tell myself slow and steady! Otherwise I set off too fast in my enthusiasm. I like to run early, too! On a sunny morning it’s gorgeous and at 5a.m. not too hot.

Brill! I definitely feel less anxious now too. It's fear of the unknown I think. Enjoy tomorrows run!
