I nearly didn't go. It's so hot and I was tempted to stuff my face with ice-cream. However I didn't want to end up changing my mind and not being able to run because I was full of ice-cream.
I didn't know where to run but didn't want to do previous routes as the idea was boring. So I set off and went all over. I went to nice places I've discovered before and carried on along footpaths i didn't know were there. I came out MILES away and decided to run back along the road. Then I found another footpath...
I've had such fun! And learnt much more about the local area. It was a much hillier route than I'm used to.
I also trialled Runkeeper alongside Strava. I liked being given 5mins markers by Runkeeper, along with pace and distance. According to Strava I did ran for 17mins and covered 1.9km. According to Laura I walked and ran for a total of 40 mins. According to Runkeeper I walked/ran for 42 mins and covered 3.9 miles. I prefer Runkeeper, it's much more accurate, but I miss the map that Strava gives.
Feeling really excited about the off-reading and wondering what I might find next time. Hoping to do a park run on Sat and seeing if I can improve on 42 mins to complete the 5km.
Now stuffing my face with veg and protein. Result!
