I finally made it to Parkrun!

So I finally made it to Parkrun! My nearest is along a forest trail, new terrain for me but so gorgeous and fairly flat too. Thank goodness the weather was cooler this morning too! I set off too quickly, optimistically tailing the 35 minute pacer, but soon sorted out my pace and managed to complete in 36 mins 54 secs 😍 ...and according to Strava I actually covered 5.4km so pretty chuffed with that!

Hi, I did my first Parkrun today as well but a bit slower than you finishing in 39.01 but thrilled with my achievement. Our course has a bit of an incline so I walked it the 3rd time round but ran most of the 5km. The cooler weather definitely helped.

Hi! Well done to you too! I walked up a little hill, I don't know why because I'm sure I could have done it... I need to teach my legs to ignore my mind sometimes!

Thank you! And yes it was! Walked the route later with my daughter and husband too, so took it all in at a slightly slower pace.
