Hello! I'm newish to c25k. I'm on my third run of the second week. I have to say it has given me tons of motivation to do other exercises. I'm thinking of booking a 5k! Is this a good idea, or am I getting ahead of myself? Nice to be part of a community!
Here goes nothing...: Hello! I'm newish to c25k... - Couch to 5K
Here goes nothing...
My advice is give yourself plenty of time. when I graduated I was only at 3.7km so it took me a little while longer to get to 5km, but if it helps you with motivation by all means book something with the proviso that you might not be quite up to the distance but with a couple of walk breaks you will complete it if necessary.
Thanks, I will keep that in mind! To get to the 5K did you repeat certain weeks?
I am not a natural runner, it took me longer than 9 weeks to get to 30 min running. I had to repeat a few runs, then I had to work towards 5km after graduation. I have been running for 5 years and I love it but I’m slow and it takes me longer than some to progress but that dosent put me off at all. I still get there in the end and my favourite distance is a Half marathon, so take whatever time you need, it is such a great addition to your life and well worth persevering with 😀.
Reticulum?
Good advice from Realfoodieclub there! Just to say keep up the good work on the running front and great that you are getting motivation to do other exercise! What else do you do then? I went for a swim for the first time in years this week!
I started doing yoga but not sure on what else I should do that would compliment running. Any advice? Oh and yes reticulum haha.
Do it! And ParkRun too!
I think it’s good to set yourself a goal to aim for!
