As most folk say, take it easy. If you're running for 30 mins, the distance doesn't matter. It's better your finish than do an injury. 👍☺️

You answered the question.. it is exceptionally warm and humid..please take care and do not push at all.

It is so easy, even for the most experienced runner, to feel ill in this heat..

Check out Realfoodieclub 's Pee post, about hydration and longer runs:)

Well done..but, take it really steady and run early if possible:)

Due to other commitments, I couldn't get out until just after 12 today. It was hot and there was no shade on my route. I took on water before going out and took it really steadily.

Aghhhh phew.... glad you are okay!

Oh no! Be careful- we don’t want anyone keeling over! I take my hat off to anyone who runs in this heat - I struggle to run in the air-conditioned gym. If I ran outside (walking is hard enough) I think it would kill me. I know I’m a killjoy but I really don’t like it - I’ve never coped well with heat. I think I must’ve been a vampire in a previous life coz I much prefer the darker evenings when I can come home & draw the curtains , put the lamps on & snuggle!

I did my first run of week 9 last night... it was BAKING! I think I'm going to have to move to morning runs!

I feel really lucky because I can run through a lovely shady wood. The ground can be ankle twisting now it's hard going and rutted but some parts are grassy and flat. Now I'm doing the 30 mins I'm having to repeat loops within the woods just to stay in the shade. Take my hat off to anyone running on streets out in the open sun, don't think I could.

As I may have mentioned (just the several dozen times :) ) I did my graduation run in Florence. I enjoyed it because I got out early and by the time it got hot I was in a tree-filled park and mostly in the shade. But I've noticed a HUGE difference between my two runs since then - one in Italy but not as cool and shady and one since I got home to Scotland. The one in Italy was 24 minutes and the one in Scotland was 34 minutes but it was the longer, but cooler run that took less out of me. We all know it's harder in hot weather but I think we can underestimate HOW MUCH harder. In Italy I was setting my alarm for 6.30 a.m. on run days even though I was on holiday and I don't even get up that early for work!
