And I did it! It wasn't even as awful as I expected. Tbh I enjoyed it. This is pretty miraculous - I am 55 and have a BMI of 34.

Am benefiting greatly from the posts here - thanks!

Great job... age and bmi are two good excuses for not running, well done for not using them.

You'll be amazed at how quickly you get stronger. Every single week of C25K left me astonished at what I'd done. Give yourself a huge pat on the back. Good luck and keep going!

Awesome! Very well done for getting out there, and I hope you’ll continue to love running. It becomes very very addictive!

That’s fantastic. Really well done. You might not find over the programme that your BMI lowers, but your heart condition and general core strength will definitely improve.

I’m older than you, did my first run on 19th May and am now completing week 8. If I can, anyone can 😀

Love your user name 😁👍🏃‍♀️

Slow and steady Lil, you’ll be pleased to hear. Slow is the goods for this caper. No hurry, no,rush, no pressure. Just slow jog intervals and we live to fight another day

Have fun 🙂

Well done - you can do it! Keep going and you’ll be a new woman before you know it! But keep it slow and steady all the time as misswobble says!

So good to see this post! I'm 62 and began C25K early June - couldn't even run for 60 seconds when I started! Still only at week2 as I keep repeating runs until I get there and have had a few knee issues. Ran all six of the 90 seconds of week 2 last week so hoping to move on to week 3 soon 😊 Slow and steady is def the way to go! Well done and good luck.
