Graduated a few weeks ago opinions please

On the day I graduated I did the 5k. But since then for the last two weeks I've been up and down with the jogging as not been well. I have changed my route today, time to get back on the saddle as the saying goes. But I can't seem to get that pace I passed with. Am I doing anything wrong?

I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong- just let yourself recover from being unwell and take it easy on yourself. You’ll soon build back up to that previous pace once you’ve regained your strength after being ill😀

No you’re not doing anything wrong. Taking it easy when you were unwell was the right thing to do and once you’re fit again - well basically if you’re running, that’s what matters.

You’re doing the right thing. Kept doing some jogging during illness but pace will suffer as the body uses fuel fighting the illness and hopefully a runner recognises this and reduces pace.

Are you still using the C25K week 9 to run? If not you could benefit from returning to it or finding a coaching app.

Yes I still need Sarah's voice in my ear 😂. Plus it's good to hear that you've reached your halfway point aswell. Without keep looking at one's watch....i will only stop using the app once maintained I think. Thanks x

Good idea... lots of runners use something all the time, be it beat and tempo matched music or a in app coach, or both.
