Well that one nearly killed me, there were times when I feared I was near death! My head was playing scenarios of me collapsing on the pavement in a sweaty mess and an ambulance being called etc, the drama! But i made it, i have no idea how, at one point I had sweat in my eye and couldn't even see where I was going. Think i will go back to my early morning outings when it's cooler. Good luck to everyone else who's struggling through the weeks!

Good for you for keeping going! Real determination! 👍🏻👍🏻 Be proud. 😀
I did the same run earlier this morning before it got hot. It all gets serious now, but the podium isn’t too far off so we can do it! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Hi, well done, yes, the mind does play us up a lot of the time with its naughty gremlins, if you feel OK physically then try and push on through them and divert your thoughts away from the hardness of the run with positive thoughts, making sure you are well hydrated and going slow and steady..
For the sweat you can try a head or wrist band, I use a washable breathable running baseball type cap which helps me a lot, as have got dry eye syndrome as I've got older which has made the eyes more sensitive and any sweat entering the eyes can make them sting like heck..
Thank you! And thank you for the tips, I think a trip out to buy a cap is on the cards, sweat in the eye is not something I wish to repeat!
Nah, it’s horrible I wipe it away before it reaches my eyes, with a towelling wristband I fold a ruddy great men’s hanky under it too for mopping up everywhere. It’s a boon
Someone was on about making a gutter of Vaseline across the forehead on here the other day, so the sweat trickles harmlessly away onto our shoulders 😁😁😁
congrats on finishing that run, you are now a runner Doing my w6r3 tomorrow morning so reading post like this gets me motivated!!
I have a growing collection of headbands, buffs, running cap, ponytail beanies........
It's a disease 🤣🤣🤣🤣
