Well, 2018 has not been a good year for me at all. Shoulder impingement, anxiety & depression and a twinging knee have between them put me on the IC for a long time BUT tomorrow sees my backside going through the front door. Physio has said my shoulder is improving, range of motion (ROM) has vastly improved so my next appt will probably be my last; shoulder pain still present but I can cope with that if I can continue to move my arm/shoulder. Weight is climbing but that's because I've not run for 3 weeks.

Anxiety/depression is improving and twinging knee? well, it's quiet at the moment. So, alarm set for 6am tomorrow and I'm out to start C25k but from week 3 run 1 because I don't need to go right back to the beginning. Looking forward to getting out there and getting back to it as I am sure it will help with the anxiety. I will report back tomorrow after my run ..........hope it goes well.

Happy running all :)

Hope it all goes to plan

I had exactly the same shoulder issue - went on for year - not helped by fracturing shoulder a couple of years after original problem - anyway the good news is .....

I had a 2nd op last June Started C25k in Sept

Graduated in Nov and still running now

Did 9th race for life at the weekend too

Still can’t do 5k in 30 mins but I get out there every week and RUN

I’m sure you can too

Excellent Cath - I can't do 5k in 30 mins either. My PB is 36 mins but it was a very hilly trail parkrun. I'm hoping to get back to that & maybe beat it :)

Well done you... many of us have repeated weeks of C25K after injury... I am set to do it for the third time if my MRI says I can!

You know you can do this...you know it will help with the Black Dog... he hates running at whatever speed!

We are all still here and still running with you xxxx

...how long have you got... :) Infected horsefly bite... strong antibiotics which completely zapped me...and a routine x ray turning up either...an old... or a new, tib' and fib' stress fracture! Plus.. misaligned Patella and ligament issues... none of which I was aware of :)

I shall not have run for 6 weeks when I get my MRI a week on Tuesday.. !

Fun eh.... :)

Leave that dog in your dust :) x

Blinking heck - you’ve been through the mill. Misaligned patella is quite common - I used to see it a lot when I did sports massage & of course it puts pressures on surrounding structure so ligament & tendon problems occurred. I hope you are sorted soon xx
