I've not done my run today due to time constraints and sore ankle. Same side as knee that was hurting a couple of weeks back. My theory is that I was protecting sore knee so may have caused ankle problem that way. It seems to be on, behind and under my inside ankle bone. Difficult to ice due to sticky-out bone. Have got tens machine on it as that seemed to help my knee.
Had anyone had anything similar?
Hope it will feel better tomorrow as I have time to run tomorrow and as car is going in for a service I might be on shanks' s pony for the day anyway!

Yes I had pain in sides of foot just under ankle bone. Ended up going to physio as so painful - Achilles tendinitis. Had to stop running I’m afraid and do excersises. Yours might not be same thing thou but if you look on the help pages on here it’s common running injury - can be caused by a number of things. When I iced it I put ice cubes in a bag and used a one of those tube bandages to hold it in place. Good luck- be careful as you don’t want to damage your ankle long term.
Hi Baddie, just wondering how your ankle is? Mine’s a bit sore too and sounds rather like yours, but it’s not enough to stop me running - I’m very slow in any case! I’m going into W7 so 25 minute runs. I figure as long as it’s not painful running I’m going to continue.
Hello cheeky chipmunks, my ankle is worse so I’m going to get it looked at. I’ve been doing some reading and it could be a couple of things that need to heal completely before any more running, so I think I’m going to have to bow out and go and sit on a couch 🛋 Please get yours checked, don’t let it get worse runnersconnect.net/posterio...
Thank you. I’m going running tomorrow morning, all being well, and if it feels ok then great. If not, I’m off on holiday on Monday so I’ll be able to rest it and have it checked out upon my return.
Hope you are able to get yours sorted as soon as possible. 🤞
Hello, mine is less painful but slightly swollen. I've been having more time off between runs to allow for healing time. I did my first 28 min run tonight and it was fine for the first half. Thinking of making a doctors appointment, then I know it will heal before the appointment comes round!
I wish it would heal up and let me get on with it!
