W2R3 - Running gods are close

Hello family,

Sorry for late up-date. I did the run yesterday, but was too late to write straight afterwards and later... Well later life happened.

I did barely wake up thinking why exactly am I doing this? Well, I knew why, but as I am on the transition time and my body didn't adjust, I can't feel (yet) all the mental benefits that I long so much.

Nevertheless, I put my clothes on, did the lazy warm-up, put my shoes on and off I went. I knew I need to shake it all a little, so I changed the route for more dementing for feet - the canal route. It was dry, so it was safe to run there. And Oh My Running Gods... The morning calmness, the still water, singing birds, sun waking up, the cool breeze from my 'speed' (no outside air movement), 3 optimistic 'good mornings' and 1 'what a lovely day, isn't it?' passer-bys. I almost forgot that I am doing some running. I felt that the running gods are close. They weren't with me, but I know where they were hiding from me - in the nature. Of course! Silly me, I thought they were waiting for my regular 3x a week runs or longer runs, but no they were waiting out of sight, where so little people are walking (especially at 5.30am - yes, I cannot wake up for a proper 5am run, so less warm-up, less stretching, less shower and cools down time).

Now, I can blamelessly start running twice a week (Mon and Thur) waiting for my body to adapt before I'll jump into 3x regular runs. I don't need to stress, I need to relax and enjoy :)

Happy running!

Thank you. The post is uplifting, as the run was uplifting ;) Sometimes we need to tweak one or two things to improve or just to find our current state and flow :)

Oh what a beautiful place to run IgaT! And you’re absolutely right, no stress, relax and enjoy! The experience is not something to be missed by making it a chore! It’s such a blissful pleasure to run outdoors! Well done you!! ❤️

Thank you. Previous runs were outdoors, but on pavement in the centre of my village, so next to cars / buses etc, although at 5/5.30am there are only few of them, it is totally different experience.

This canal path is amazing, but it can get tricky when it's wet (slippy mud on the angle towards water) or with overgrown bushes. But currently, it's perfect :)

Thank you :) Yes, I need to slowly get back to the routine. I tend to do all or nothing, so from time to time I need to remind myself not to hurry ;)

Wowser, what a beautiful place to run! How wonderful you had such a great time - you now have the running bug and there’s no turning back! 😅🏃‍♀️❤️

Well, I have running bug for a while, I've just lost somewhere my mojo. I haven't managed to complete C25K (yet), but I have several attempts in my bag that were suddenly interrupted (illness, injury).

But this was a very good run :) The type I really like and appreciate :)
