So I did the first run of Bridge210K podcast with Samantha Murphy. I was getting ready on the warm up walk waiting for my cue when I realised she'd said 'Go!' Bit abrupt, no Laura easing me into the run. So off I went, nice to hear different music, not all to my taste but kept me running. It's four lots of ten minute runs with a minute walk in between. Did I need those walks! it was so humid again, I had to take an extra minute break before the end, but just about did it. can't wait till the cooler weather arrives. I miss Laura's encouragement and feel like I'm left to my own devices :( I think Samantha says one more minute to go, but am not sure. Oh well good job I've got people's support and encouragement on here. Happy running :D

well done you, that sounds like a great plan, and it is the hardest ever running in the heat!!

Thanks, I know, feel I can hardly move in the heat, everything I wear is just too hot!

Good luck, funny the cheesy pop songs make me run better, but I could never listen to them normally!

Well done, I just started the Samantha pod too, I almost missed her saying time to start running.. But I have to admit I found it really hard, maybe because it was humid or I haven't been running much lately or my left thigh was aching, or all 3 lol. I only managed 3 lots of 10 minutes, didn't want to push it too far. I am determined to do the 4 x 10 mins next time.

Well done to you as well! I think it is quite tough and I'm not sure how long I've got left on the running bits, without Laura's usual guidance. I've noticed some songs sound louder than others, or maybe it's just me. Anyway I'm sure you will do it all next time, I'm determind as well, good luck :)

I tried using the Sam Murphy podcast but kept missing when to start & stop, so searched for another on iTunes and found a good one by BLue Inc which lets you know 10 mins left, 5 mins left, 2 then 1.

It also tells you when you 1/2 way through.

I am on week 5, run 3 which is 2 x30 mins but I don't stop for the 1 minute walk now.

Today I managed 11.5 with the 5 minute warm up included.

Yes its free on i tunes and is actually titled 'bridge to 10k-free podcast' when you search.

Good for you. I'm still using the week 9 podcast. Where did you download the bridge to 10k? Can we start a group to ask Laura to make a bridge to 10K podcast:) I'm not sure I can go on without her:)

Oh dear I'm afraid it's time to say goodbye! As a couple of you mentioned I also missed her saying stop or go! Got really disorientated and the music is not inspiring me at all! Sorry for moan, but I really thought I could do 3x17 minutes OK, not to be! Mainly I was too hot again with the humidity and def. not a good idea to go at noon! Managed 4 and half miles, but really wasn't in the mood. The only clue of time and distance I had was Runkeeper letting me know. Stopped after feeling really chilly even though I was hot? Splashed my face in the park loo and felt better. Was envious of a big Labrador that kept popping in the boating lake while his owners were trying to run! There is a bit of good news, I'm getting faster 7.58 min/mile, but Sam girl it's the end of the road for you! Off to download Tonya/Tanya? on Blue Inc...

I did my first run with Samantha Murphy this morning but because I couldn't hear her I missed her telling me when to stop and walk for a minute. Apparently she must have said it four times but I only heard it once. So, I did the whole thing with just one minute walk in between. Doh! I was absolutely cream crackered but I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!!!!
