Hi. Well my first and last post. 9 weeks ago aged 62, weighing 19 stone, I retired and to everyone's (including mine) disbelief started C25K. My exercise previously consisted of taking the wrapper off a box of Maltese’s (healthy eating!). today I ran week 9 run 3, along the coast (previously run in our little village), with my son (who runs the Singapore marathon and is visiting uk) trotting behind me like a dressage horse, wanting to gallop but having to do tiny steps to keep to my slow (but I did do 5k, just) pace. I was really emotional and would say your posts have been inspirational, informative, funny and have kept me going, so thank you all. Who knows what now? I am being threatened with 5k in Singapore in September but hurdling monkeys, snakes and monitor lizards may be a step too far!! Thank you all

Congratulations. You should be really proud of yourself to have taken it on and done it. 5K in Singapore? Why not, unless it is simply too hot! Between now and then, just keep in practice and it can only get easier, can't it?

That’s just so brilliant 👍🏼 I would be tempted to set myself a challenge of running whilst opening a packet of maltesers at the same time 😀

We want to know what your going to do next, bridge210k? We want to know if your going to do the Singapore marathon (the heat! 😱). Or is it just me been nosy? 😂

You arrive, introducing yourself to us with your graduation success (congratulations by the way 🍾)

Hi amazing. Congratulations that’s a wonderful achievement. You can’t leave it at that. You’ve said hi and you have incredibly finished the programme with a 5k which most of us can’t do, so you simply MUST stay and send tips to those of us more happytortoise-like!
