There are organised park runs. You sign up online and get given a barcode. When you arrive they log your bar code and you get an accurate time sent to you for a 5K run

parkrun.org.uk/

Hope this helps :)

Google it. Organised runs for free all over the country. 5k. You get an official barcode.i absolutely love the ParkRun! All abilities go from crazy fast people to those who walk. People go with dogs. People run with pushchairs! There are marshals all the way round and everyone is so supportive! Do it, do it, do it! I walked my first in week 1 in 48 minutes and then did my last run of the week inside the ParkRun including my warm up walk 👍🏽 By week 7 I was running the lot. Always remember your barcode 😂

A Park run that is timed... follow that link given to you by Elles78 :)

Many folk do then, usually after Graduation or as part of their Week 9 runs.

We advise folk to try them when they are well into the programme...just to make sure your running legs have had chance to do some building up.

Not everyone does them, but many folk really really enjoy them :)

you do have some parkruns (free, under that same parkrun brand) in your country :) parkrun.us/events/ not many yet but they are growing, just so you know (and who knows, maybe you could set one up near you) :D but great that you will sign up for something anyway! keep going!
