Hi givman i did 8 last year and been doing them the last three weeks.
As i have only done 11 i am a way off a shirt yet! I love the Parkruns
as i enjoy running with other people. Ed
Bacon buttie? Yummy! I didnt even get coffee yesterday
The queue at the Cambridge Parkrun is very long and
i am always at the back of the runners as well as the queue!
Woo hoo that is wonderful, it is about 40 miles to my nearest so I dont get there very often what with the cost of petrol and time factors so its going to take me forever to get to 50 let along 100 runs! There is talk of one starting in Swansea about 10 miles away so got fingers crossed.
thanks
yeh hopefully you will get one in Sswansea..the one in Hull started just over 2 yrs ago and is very poular.averaging nearly 300 per week .its great fun and you meet a lot of friends
We usually get around 300 in Cambridge even in winter.
And yes they are great for meeting people.
fantastic its a great event even got a run on xmas day thisyr..even though its not on a Saturday!!.
Oh i am not sure if ours has.
wont be able to make it anyway...wont be allowed out the house lol!!
I've done 3 so far, so a long way to go til I get my t shirt but I love them, even though I find 5K a long way and finish near the back, looking forward to the next one! We don't have one on Christmas Day but are doing fancy dress on the 22nd and there is one on New Years Day but not sure if I will be up for that!!!
Once I've done the 5K of week 9 I'm gonna try out the Whitley Bay parkrun, has anyone done this?
heather
good luck heather you will enjoy
I've done 3, I'm always at the back but the other runners give me encouragement as they lap me at speed. I think it's just a little bit far really for me but I am enjoying it so I'll keep going about once a month. I use it to gauge my progress as I'm doing c25k very slowly.
yes good keep it up u will improve
Planning my 1st one on saturday so hoping I make it all the way round! My current post grad runs have been around 4.75k but that's somewhat limited by reaching flooded areas and having tp turn around again. Aiming for 35ish mins and a nice cup of tea afterwards!
ok bunny let me know how u get on
