Wow! That was hard! I have struggled to fit my first run of week 9 in. I can't do early morning or late nights as I have young children so as I finish work at 12 today I got changed at work and went straight out. It was so hot, even in the shade! That last 5 minutes was torture, I had to keep telling myself to put one foot in front of the other! Did it but that was not fun!!!

Wow! I did W9 R1 this morning at 7am and it was hot and humid then, don't know how you managed it at midday?!

Just think ahead to those cool crisp winter days. We'll all be proper runners by then so it'll be fantastic 😊

Thanks. But I feel a bit more of a mad, sweaty beetroot than a star😅

Wowsers. That’s determination. Well done. Hope you can find a cooler time for the final two runs.

Me too Jay! I won't be doing that again. It was not nice!

Actually, you shouldn’t be doing that as you’re risking a heat stroke. It doesn’t matter how well rested or hydrated you are, running and overheating in the midday sun is not good for you, and if you have any underlying condition it could be worse.

I love warm weather and always holiday in hot countries and run when there but l time it to be either right after dawn, or not at all. Try and spot local people running at that time of day. You will not, because they are aware of the rules.

I know! It was stupid and I won't be doing it again!!!

I wasn’t stupid, many are anaware because people are simply not used to this. I learned a lot from our ‘Canadian Branch’ on the forum about winter dangers when running in sub zero temperatures, l had no clue what it could do to you and that’s the whole point of this forum - sharing knowledge, encouraging and helping each other!
