I am 48 and have never run in my life I have taken 2 months off between jobs and decided this was my time to get fit as I am overweight. I am now in week 6 and apprehensively got the 20 minute run tomorrow. I love love love running. I would love any advice as I am learning everyday.

Stop thinking about the time and keep putting one foot in front of the other. It will be over before you know it and in a few weeks 20 minutes will be nothing 😁

Don't worry about it you will do it. Take on the scenery and enjoy yourself.

Take it slow it's not a race . Well done on the journey so far xx

I wonder if you are doing the same C25K plan as most on this forum, as the 20 minute run is in Week 5 on the NHS and One You schemes.

This guide to the NHS plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
