I went to my little Park for my run today. I was geared up, well watered (maybe too well) and out I went. No ringing in my ears today, except...”I’m doing it”.
I have attached a photo of the sculptures that are a great reminder to go slow! I still haven’t worked out what they’re meant to be, but they look like snails done they? 🐌 😁😁
The run was comfortable and relaxed! I did have a dog do a 50 mtr dash towards me a couple of times, but he was harmless (thankfully). I didn’t break my stride and kept my eye right on him. “No chicken here mate! These legs are spoken for”.
One of the dog walkers offered to run with me (after doing a very slow moonwalking impression 🤨) but I smiled and said “By all means!”. I like to think he means well. But, I’m a runner and I don’t care.
MJ was on point today! We’re in sync and staying the course! So, then came the finale! Last 60 seconds and for some reason I remember a very old sports day when I was asked to step in to do the 200 metres. Well, I bombed it! Started off like a bat out of hell and then came second to last. Absolute rubbish! 🤣! Not today though! I tell you..... that was power running round my make shift track! Talk about reclaiming a moment in history! Very proud of myself, just for remembering it! I’m sure I’ve shuffed that one somewhere deep! Never to be looked at again! But I’m buzzing big time now!!
Roll on W8! Fabulous is back in the room and back on track! Can’t wait to graduate!! ❤️

No, I call it my little Park, but there’s a massive grassy area that I don’t venture into. I stay on the path. However, we did meet up again when I was doing my cool down walk and he asked me how many more laps?! I told him I’m just doing the cool down. Who knows, he might decide that he can do it too and I meet up with him again! That would be nice! 😁 I would give him what for in my last 60! 🤣🤣❤️
Yay! Go you! I met a herd of cows 🐄 along my run last week and was very worried one might decide to run with me!! 🙈 needless to say it encouraged me to quicken my pace!! Xx

Brilliant! You're nearly there! I wish I had a park like you. I ran this morning and had to go backwards and forwards along the same patch of shady track! 😓😓😓
Aah Ang....thank you! You know I used to think what’s the point of the park! No swings or anything for the kids when they were young, just a basketball hoop! But boy, little did I know how much I would grow to appreciate and love it! Good on you for getting out there on the shady track! I’m sure the feeling of achievement is the same! ❤️
