After four weeks running on roads I decided the step up to longer intervals of running deserved a change of scene so off to the nearby duck pond. It's going to be another gorgeous day so I headed out while the east coast mist was still down, keeping things cool. Didn't really feel like running today but once I got started it was so good! A different surface underfoot, trees and water, ducks and swans, no cars, no traffic lights. I had to run on the spot while I opened the gates each time I did a circuit but I guess that's allowed. I know it's just the start of Week 5 but it bodes well.
Reading other people's experiences has been a real inspiration to this 63-year-old-new-to-running. Thanks and good luck!
