To be honest, I think a small part of me doubted even making it this far. But here I am, all ready to run for 8 minutes on Tuesday. Keeping it slow and steady - I can almost walk as fast as I'm running - but I am running - and that's what matters right now. Four weeks ago I found 90 seconds a challenge!
I tend to find that my calves feel right when I start the first run - so second run tends to be my favourite. I enjoy the one minute to go warning on the last run, because then I try to use up anything I have left in the tank.
All my leggings were damp from the wash today, so I went in shorts. A bit of chafing, but I expected a lot worse. I'll have to be more organised because comfort is very important to me - especially as I start to push myself more each run.
Today's thought while running... The law says you have to pick up after your dog... But it's ok for people to leave horse poo all over the pavement? It's an urban fringe area - with farm areas quite nearby, but I'm dodging mounds of the stuff on concrete footpath. Does this bother anyone else?
