So this evenings run was delayed due to other important events (football on tv - but wish I hadn't bothered watching if I'm honest).
The build up to tonight's run has not been ideal. Had a very poor night's sleep last night due to the heat in a very stuffy hotel room. Result, I have been tired most of the day. Add to that, a four hour drive home making the ol' legs stiffen up [quite] a bit. Then having dinner BEFORE a run, ( I am not good running on a full stomach).
So finally set out at 9pm. The potential upside of this is that it had cooled down considerably, but with very little in the way of breeze, there was nothing to cool the sweat down. So no advantage gained there.
But, there has to be something good, something positive to report and that is . . . . . (you'll have to imagine a drum roll here), I averaged 00:06:01 per km. Pretty damn good eh!
Now I can look forward to Saturday's early morning Parkrun, but first things first . . . . a good nights sleep.
