One to go, must get easier when it's a bit cooler surely? I felt i was melting out there this morning. Hoping Saturday is going to be more favourable for run 3.

You did it! Well done you! Just one to go before graduation. I expect they are preparing the podium as I type! All the very best for your graduation run. 🏃♀️🏃🏃♀️🏃
Thanks, wouldn't have thought this time last year I would or could be running for 30 minutes!! I'm feeling like much younger than my 63 years, happy days 👍
Hello again, I didn't realise when I chose my name for this forum that it would actually be on view! I have never used a forum before. Anyway, my name is a bit of a giveaway that I am 61. I tried a few names to do with favourite flowers, but they were taken and I didn't think to simply put a number afterwards. So on this forum, at least, I shall be 61 for all time!
I am intrigued that you are feeling younger than your age and wonder in what way you notice it. I have always done some exercise, so was not a complete couch potato when I began, but I can't say that I have noticed an improvement in my fitness. I have not run before and I am simply astounded how far my runs take me, but I would like some way of measuring any improvement in health and fitness. I only graduated 5 weeks ago. I have begun rather haphazardly to measure my resting heart rate, but I think I need to be measuring like with like. I need to try and determine some time when I am actually fully rested. It is not really showing signs of decreasing. Ah well! Sorry I seem to have taken too long to say too little.
I gave up trying to think of a name and ended up just using my initials . As far as feeling younger for me, I suffer from ulcerative colitis and this time last year was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left knee and hip. I saw a documentary on to that said that running could help keeping the joints active (or something along those lines) so it's taken me time to give it a go to try and lift my mood. Since starting C25K I feel more alert, happier in myself and can now walk up the steep hill to our house without stopping. My body certainly feels more toned than before and a feel much more confident with a can do attitude and have no signs of the arthritis getting worse. I think that 5 K will be enough distance for me for the foreseeable future. I don't bothe with all that heart rate stuff, just do gentle stretching after my runs and then shower and sit down, legs up and relax. Not sure if it answers your question, but carry on enjoying your runs. 😎
