Week 9 run 2

Smashed and in the bag. I still haven't managed to reach 5k but I don't care! My most is 4.6k which includes the 5 min walks either side of the 30 mins running. I can work on that tho!!

One more run to go until I graduate and I'm really excited to do it. I really never thought I would say that. I've always hated running and been in awe of people who enjoy it but no more, I'm there!!

To anyone who is just starting out, it doesn't matter if you have to repeat runs or weeks, just getting yourself out there, whether it's on a treadmill or outside, just have a go and as we constantly say at school, persevere you can achieve your goal if you want it enough!! 😀

The 5k will come with time (I still can't do it very fast!!). Just look back at your achievements since you started - what a feeling!

I have to keep telling everyone I know. They're getting bored but I'm not

Brilliant, well done. And thanks for posting. I'm currently hovering around the start of Week 8 - bit scared! And just downloaded Map My Run which isn't helping!! As you say, it doesn't matter if you repeat runs or weeks - we are doing it!

Don't be scared of week 8 it's only 3 mins more than week 7. I've been running the last 3 weeks on the treadmill for one reason or another so I can see the time and distance changing. It used to make me anxious and put me off, now I just ignore it. I run each run depending on how I feel x

Fantastic... Mandygecko😊..

Next run will be your Graduation run..how exciting. Will look out for your post.

You are right its being able to run for 30 mins that we celebrate.. working on distance is a natural progression you can have fun with in the future.

Good luck 😊x

brilliant, well done...I'm starting week 9 on Friday, I'm nowhere near 5k in the 28 mins so I wont be when I start 30 mins but once I graduate I will work on that by just repeating week9 until I crack it....Enjoy the victory

What kind of people actually celebrate the fact that they can run for 30 minutes? The ones that graduate C25K, something we ALL want to do, whether you're still on the program or graduated it, we're all the same.

Well done, I'm jealous to be honest.

Why be jealousy? You're almost there too

I can see the end in sight but days don't pass fast enough, seriously, I have the greatest respect for the people who start the C25K and great admiration for those who complete it.

Forget the 5K! 30 minute runs... that is all it takes:) You are doing it :)

You are doing brilliantly...keep it steady and slow as you head towards the podium :)

One foot on the podium... brilliantly done you

Just done my graduation run today. The only way I can achieve the 5K is to run an extra 10 minutes ( managed that on my last 2 runs). I've never been a runner so just amazed at myself that I've got so far. Not sure that I love it yet but I do feel a great sense of achievement and every week can set my goal a little higher. Keep on running - there's a 5K to be run.
