That was hard. Even at 5:45 I was drenched in sweat, and even with the baseball cap and shades, blinded at times. This isn't really Cumbria is it? Where's the rain?
Still, better than Monday over the same course: Distance: 4.08km, Time: 30:07, Pace: 7:23/km
I hit on a new way of doing my last 10 minute mantra, I started praying for each of you lot that I could remember, in time to my hoof beats. So many good people here.

Good effort! Not sure if the left side of that graph is showing altitude or not. Knowing Cumbria, it probably is, so you’re battling far more hills in your 30mins than most of us! Not surprised you’re sweating...😊❤️
I should have joined you on W9R2 this morning, and just guiltily listened to my phone app notification telling me it’s run day. Sadly am in bed with a stinking cold instead, so that podium will have to wait a little longer for me. Good luck on your final run! 😃🏃♀️🏃♂️😁❤️😎
Unfortunately, the fall off towards the end is just me, the profile is the almost flat line at the bottom of the graph. I have chosen the only flat 4Km in Cumbria....
Sorry to hear about your cold, miserable things, prayers for your swift return.
Thanks - I’ll be back in action before long! Glad to hear you’ve found a flat route. I love walking up hills, but am not sure I’ll ever enjoy trying to run up them!
I have a sort of plan to run Keswick Parkun on Saturday, the day after I graduate. I may save the champers for hitting 5K. Thanks for the encouragement.
I know I won't have been on your list but I love the idea of praying for people on here! I found my run this morning tough and I don't know if you follow any particular religion but I'm a Christian and there's one particular bible verse that I was puffing out for the last few minutes today like a mantra
I'm an ordained Eastern Orthodox Sub-deacon. Basically the church 'gopher'. The Eastern Orthodox church goes quite big on a short prayer said so that the mind is quieted and the soul can be in contact with God. Running is a little like that, you want the mind to stop saying 'stop this hurts', so you can be in proper communion with your body. We just found you can do both together.
I might need to turn off the Christian music I have playing in my ear to be properly quieted but at least once every run I praise God for getting me through another run, or the stunning countryside, or anything really. When I'm properly into my longer runs I shall try switching the music off...
