Treadmill Speed?

Hi! I'm new to the programme and I've only done w1r1 so far, and I did that one outside. Any recommendations for what speed I should set the treadmill for the runs / walks when I'm in the gym?? Please bear in mind I'm only 5'2 😂

Do whatever speed you can manage. We’re all so different. I walk at 6.5 and jog 8.5-9 but I’m nearly 6ft 😂

Do whatever feels comfortable, I started running on 9, but as Ive gotten into runs without breaks I've slowed down to 8.5 and walk on about 5.7/8 :)

Welcome to the forum.

The guide to the plan explains about pace healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it is different for each individual.

Run at a pace at which you can hold a clear ungasping conversation.

Enjoy your journey.

On my first one I walked at 4 and ran at 6.6.....that did me in anyway 😂

So long since I went to a gym I can't remember the speeds but for gait analysis the other week the treadmill was slower than I expected.

Start off slow, much better to increase gradually than overdo it and put yourself off.
