Gait analysis or not
Absolutely worth having this done if they seem to know what they're doing. Having shoes that aren't right for you will come back back and haunt you as you move through the programme otherwise...
Many thanks had the analysis and new running shoes expensive but video of my running showed difference between both shoes old and new! Hopefully find out tomorrow when I do my next run thanks 🍺
They should be as comfy as comfy from the moment you put them on
Brilliant - hope they do a great job for you.
I found out I have a neutral gait could pretty much run in anything “normal”, but I got a big discount on last year’s model of a great Brooks trainer, cheaper than I could’ve got them elsewhere at that time.
I would advise its worth it, but you need to choose a specialist running shop👍🏼

Many people could no doubt not bother with gait analysis, randomly buy their shoes based on colour or style and suffer no ill effects, but if you do have issues that need addressing, then a gait analysis and appropriate shoes may prevent future injury.
Had Gait Analysis done , very good plus good comparison between my own karrimor running shoes and Brooks Running shoes video play back remarkable showed I had pronouation of left foot corrected by new trainers expensive but worth it! Thanks
Yes! Gait analysis and proper running shoes totally transformed my running. It's worth the money, 100% 😀
It’s expensive (around £120)when you get the shoes but I definitely needed something to support massive over pronation! I wanted bright On trainers but ended up with black Saucony’s. Not what I’d have chosen but I’d have got something totally wrong for my feet. It took a couple of weeks to get used to them but now they’re perfectly moulded to me! I had started to get possible shin splint pain but that went after a few days in gait analysis shoes.
It was worth it for me. ☺
I’d got new shoes after I had gait analysis done after W5. The first run or two felt slightly odd but I soon got used to them but haven’t had any feet related issues. I don’t know if I would have had any injuries otherwise and I suppose we’ll never know but having had a dodgy ankle years ago I don’t want to risk anything.
