👋 have conquered couch to 5 k twice n lapsed twice 😵 so after 7 months of just thinking about it I finally got back out there . Got to week 6 no failures great I think I normally run tues , Thursday n Saturday but knew I had a heavy weekend n only ran tues n Friday . Today was week 6 run 3 started really bad couldn’t breathe n legs just wouldn’t go so only ran / walked . Should I start week 6 again or try the run again ? Sorry for rambling x

Hi! Sounds like you’re feeling the effects of your heavy weekend. I’d suggest getting hydrated, have an extra days rest and just repeat this one run. No need to start the whole week again if you completed those runs. Good luck 😉

Please don't be hard on yourself. One bad run doesn't make you a failure 😊 and it is very hot and humid which makes it tough too. I think the occasional bad run is a universal experience and happens to eveyone sooner or later

Perhaps think about giving just W6R3 another go but prep well for it by choosing the coolest part of the day, hydrating well all day, having a light snack about 30-45 mins before you plan to run and adhere to Oldfloss's "Slow + Steady" mantra?

Could you perhaps try running slower than slow so its a almost a slow jog on the spot - keeping going is the important bit rather than speed or style.

Good luck and hope you keep running x x

Slow lol a snail passed me I swear 😳 x

I did the same. Last may I did an half marathon after doing ct5k. I ran for another 6 months then fell off the wagon. I'm now up to week 8 and feeling a lot better about myself. Keep it up weg60,you can do it. :)

Try to work out what the reasons were. Were you low on energy or hydration, because of other things happening in your life. Identifying these little things that cumulatively can have big effect on your running, can make all the difference in the future, so that you either avoid them or change your expectations of your run .

I would rest up and then repeat.
