Just completed WK5R3. I have shuffled my bum along for 20mins, only pausing to cross the main road twice.....(I'm really not up to playing chicken)
A few months ago, in the middle of post viral fatigue syndrome, I couldn't WALK for 10mins without collapsing. So this feels huge. Even if I don't complete this programme I'm so chuffed with myself right now. I haven't run for that amount of time since I was at school...... I'll admit it, I feel really emotional about getting this far, & even sniffled when I got home. That's the pollen - obviously!

You will get through the program Doris. Might take more than 9 weeks, but who's counting? Who cares?
A bout of illness can certainly set you back. But look at you! You're out running again, so there is no doubting the will to finish is there. So what if it takes a little longer for the body to catch up with the mind.
There is also nothing wrong with feeling good about yourself after a successful session, it sets you up nicely for the next one.
Thank you both. I go out on my own - with my virtual posse of Michael, the Underarmour lady who tracks my progress, and usually Simon Mayo & Jo Wiley (still not loving that combo) - so to have extra support here is fantastic!!
Does anyone else listen to the radio while plodding along? - I went out a couple of weeks ago while Liza Tarbuck was on.... Not doing that again cos she kept making me laugh, so you look completely insane to the dog walkers...
