Thats OK. Despite the name, the objective is to run non stop for 30 minutes three times in week 9. Only a minority are running fast enough by then to cover 5k, but once you can run non stop for 30 minutes all sorts of other things become possible in the future. If you follow the programme and heed the advice on here then in nine weeks or thereabouts you’ll be able to run non stop for 30 minutes three times a week. That’s a real achievement: focus on that then think about speed afterwards if you want to.

You don’t need to worry about running 5k in 30 minutes it’s about running for 30 minutes. I graduated about 5 weeks ago and still couldn’t run 5k in 30 minutes if I was being chased by a pack of wolves 🐺 but i can run 5k and I can run for 30 minutes and that’s 30 minutes more than a could a few months ago 😃😃 you can do it stick to the programme and take it slowly

Hi, don’t worry, I thought I was going to die after week one- it’s the hardest week, keep going, it gets easier.

First one is the toughest. Just keep your eye on the running session for that day and you'll do just fine.
