In a discussion on Fabulous450’s latest post, I started thinking about whose voice I’d like to listen to, giving me the couchto5k instructions. 🤔
Paula Radcliffe as a female alternative to Michael Johnson? Or maybe Brian Blessed shouting “RUN FOR ONE MINUTE NOOOOOOOOWWWWW”!
Who would your fantasy voiceover be? 😄

Wouldn’t mind Mohammed Ali telling me I’m the greatest! 🤣🤣❤️
Reply (1)Report
You are the greatest Fab!
Reply (2)Report
Jonny Brownlee to tell me off. Daniel Ricciardo to remind me to smile. Alan Rickman to relax into the run. Switch them up depending on mood.
Reply (2)Report
Oh gosh yes Alan Rickman!
Reply (0)Report
Not Stephen Hawking....
Reply (3)Report
Perhaps he could explain the science of the run as you went along?!
Reply (0)Report
Can anyone actually run for that long tho
Reply (1)Report
I think if it had been Paula I’d have died of (romantic) heart failure by about Week 4. Same with Kirsty Young.
Love TrixabelleB’s suggestion of Danny Ric - that would be motivating. Jenson Button is a big triathlete so he’d probably be good.
I’m going with a personal one. My old, bald, moustachioed PE teacher from secondary school, Mr Fry. I can still hear him err “berate” me when trying to do cross country as a fat teenager. I’d like him to see what I can do now.
Reply (7)Report
Jenson is a good choice too, I'd be really eager to please him 😂
Reply (1)Report
Behave!!!
Reply (0)Report
I meant "impress" 😉
Reply (1)Report
I’ve seen his (model) girlfriend - good luck!
Reply (0)Report
Fiancée. 😋
Reply (1)Report
Was Mr Fry like that sadistic PE teacher in Grange Hill?!
Reply (1)Report
It felt like it at the time. He was really short and slightly built. Looking back he clearly meant well but I had too much puppy fat to be sporty through most of school. Hated PE, hated most sports, PE teachers were all devils incarnate. Bet he was a nice bloke really.
Reply (2)Report
And look at you now, graduate of the couch to 5k!
Reply (1)Report
Having swapped puppy fat for middle-aged spread! 😳

Hidden 6 years ago
Richard Burton, who had the most amazing voice I've ever heard.
Reply (3)Report
Oh absolutely - very smooth ☺️

Basil Fawlty 😂😂

RIP Andrew Sachs!

Edna Mode or Barry White
Reply (3)Report
Barry would be great!
Reply (0)Report
“No capes!”
Reply (2)Report
Is Edna Mode from the Incredibles? She’d scare me 😁
Reply (0)Report
Yep enough of this hand holding malarkey
Reply (1)Report
Either Yoda or Dona Summer. Or possibly a hybrid....
Reply (1)Report
I’m trying to work out whether Yoda’s word order could get confusing 🤔😁
Reply (0)Report
I'm still worrying about the hybrid combo of Yoda's word order and Donna's orgasmic groaning
Reply (3)Report
You can start your own thread about that one! 😆

Or just seek professional help...
Reply (2)Report
A runner you are....!
Reply (1)Report
How about George Clooney for the melty voice. 😍
Or what about some Army Sergeant type shouty voice to get those legs moving! 🏃🏼♀️
Reply (2)Report
Yes I’m surprised there isn’t a military sergeant type already!
Reply (3)Report
Aiden Turner (Poldark) ☺️ ... but for athletic inspiration, Dame Kelly Holmes, or perhaps Mo Farrah? I hear Mo ran the odd 5 or 10k!
M.J. is good for me though - he was such a stylish runner, a technician of form, and seems to be a real gent.
Reply (2)Report
Yes Mo would get a vote from me!
Reply (1)Report
Chris Packham, Iolo Williams, Martin Hughes-Games (especially if they point out interesting wildlife along the way)
Rupert Graves, actor, who knew me before I was ill
Liz Carr, actor, ex-presenter of BBC Ouch... definitely not a runner, she is an electric wheelchair user (seen her be very zippy in that), and has a wicked sense of humour... I think she'd be a fabulous coach
Would second Edna Mode though!
Reply (2)Report
I imagine Rupert Graves would be a right gentleman ☺️
Reply (1)Report
He was when he was 16/17.

1. My husband who has a gorgeous voice * melt melt*
2. Richard Burton
3. Poldark (his English voice not the Irish one 😕)
4. Alan Rickman
5. Morgan Freeman
6. Jean Reno
7. Sean Connery
8. Liam Neeson (he was born in the same town as me so I just love everything about him 😘)
Am I being greedy here? 😂😂😂
Reply (2)Report
Only if you want them all at once Irishprincess! Leave some for us!! 🤣🤣❤️
Reply (1)Report
Not greedy! You could swap between them each time 😀
Reply (2)Report
Okey doke! Nice! 👍🏽❤️
Reply (0)Report
Who said anything about swapping.......
Reply (0)Report
That depends how many bedrooms you have
Reply (2)Report
I need only one 😉
Reply (0)Report
How could I forget Liam Neeson! His voice is velvet! 😍
Reply (2)Report
Jean Reno! Good choice. 😍
Reply (1)Report
Cookie Monster. Or a number of other Sesame Street/Muppet Show favourites..
I'm trying to get away from the distinct whiff of "Hunk of the Month" that's starting to obscure this post like a sensual fog....
Reply (3)Report
Beaker!!!
Reply (0)Report
Or Animal 😆
Reply (0)Report
Obscure?....there’s no obscurity here! 🤣❤️
Reply (0)Report
It would have to be Idris Elba, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Ewan McGregor or David Tenant for me .
Reply (2)Report
Oh gosh yes Ewan McGregor!
Reply (0)Report
Johnny Rotten !
Reply (1)Report
Definitely Louis Theroux!
Reply (1)Report
That’s a person I hadn’t thought of - love his work though!
Reply (0)Report
Anthony Hopkins. I want him on my Sat Nav.
Reply (1)Report
Yes he’s got a lovely voice!
Reply (0)Report
Brian Blessed would be excellent 😀
Reply (1)Report
He might make me laugh too much 😁
Reply (1)Report
It’s true, he might not help with your breathing, but the sheer FUN of it. And we all know running should be fun 😁
Reply (2)Report
Her Majesty The Queen! That little voice of hers .....”one must begin to trot on now....”
Reply (2)Report
Absolutely brilliant idea! You can’t argue with the Queen!!
Reply (0)Report
I'd like Sam Heuhgan
He'd say "run Sassenach"
❤️❤️
Reply (1)Report
I don't know who that is!
Reply (1)Report
He's an actor
From Outlander
He's bloody lovely 💘❤️😜
