C25k app

I've just joined the forum having just completed week 6! (Yay!) I wish I had found it before!! Anyway I was surprised how many people put up with the music on the podcasts - I downloaded the free app and that allows you to play your own music and just turns the volume down when Laura comes on. All the podcasts are also on it and it keeps track of when you complete each run. I just felt I should point out that there is another option!!

Welcome to the forum!

From what I gather from previous posts the main problem with the app is that it's very unreliable and has a tendency to crash on a regular basis!

Sounds like you've been one of the lucky ones and it's working well for you though. :-)

No no no, you'll never be a proper runner if you haven't suffered er um listened to "Julie".....Actually, I just saw the music as part of the whole experience, and even quite liked some of it!

I didn't mind the music, found it OK for the length of the programme. I wouldn't complain about it for that short period..

I did that all the way through - and it worked really well most of the time. It's just that when I got to the longer uninterrrupted runs that I found Laura going to sleep unless I swiped my phone etc....had a few runs longer than required :-) Towards the end I just did my warm up walk and then listened to music while timing myself on my watch.

Welcome to the forum KT! :-D

I started using the app, but had a few episodes of it freezing early on, so switched to the podcast. Have found myself humming one of the songs on the podcast when I was doing the laundry last week! haha. Highly anticipating hearing "Julie" I believe next week (w8), she seems to have been mentioned a few times. ;-)

Oh Julie it gets stuck in your head though and goes round and round, I actually found my self singing along to it yesterday morning.
