Become your own hero

Another 5 am morning, today waking up was surprisingly easier than I thought. But getting out of the door took me longer. At least I did longer warm up :)

Today I was doing 1st run of phase 4, known as W4R1. 3 min run - well, I finally got warmed up, as I felt cold up to this point. Next run, give it to me babe. Jist when I thought 'this 5 minutes is pretty long', I was told to stop running and start walking. Ufff, what a relief. Another 3 minutes, I have no idea when and where happened. I probably got lost in my own mind. OK, let's smash the last run. I started slow and steady, as all my today's runs. Then I thought it's finish, so let's speed up. When I heard something in my earphones, I thought nice, run done, but no... It was 1 more minute to run. I didn't know if I manage, but decided to try and keep the pace up. I managed :) I even speed up a tiny bit just before end.

Now, happy and feeling accomplished, stretching all those warm muscles.

Today, I am my own hero! Wednesday, woke up 5 AM (like in the middle of the night)! Got out there, smashed that run, looking fab (yeaaa... at least in my head)! This is how you do it! Vicory dance!

Happy running!

Indeed. They are like gems that we need to admire, appreciate, and patiently wait for another one, as the next ones are always coming :)

Exactly that! Give yourself a high five! (Or at least a pat on the back!) 😁

Revel in these achievements, we don't give ourselves enough credit.

I think my mood boost have me even high ten :P

Way too often our struggles outstrip our successes in our heads. It's good to remember where we started and cherish all even the smallest successes. In the end, the only failure is giving up ;)

Well done IgaT

Does this mean you have been converted to early morning running? :) I do think it can give you a boost for the rest of the day, hero.

I am not sure about being converted. But I am checking this option. So far so good :)

It is giving me early morning boost, but also around 11 am sleepiness. And of course 8pm seems like a very late night :P

5am??? What is this horror of which you speak?! Serious kudos to you for being coordinated enough to move at all at that time, let alone run! 😂

Sounds like a really good one though - massive well done!

Thanks :)

Well getting my limbs coordinated took me over a quarter :P Before I looked like a broken Pinocchio, fortunately it was too dark for anyone to see ;)

Amazing IgaT! I think from the replies there are a lot of us who know just what an achievment it is just to get up at 5am - that phrase "i'm not a morning person" applies to loads of us - so well done!! So much positivity in this post! And the run, week 4, you're into the second third of the plan, woohoo!

Thank you. I hope I'll keep up the good work, not slip into the cosy old habits of expressing my morning love to the duvet and disapproval for the alarm clock. I hope the weather will continue to be gentle with me keeping my motivation high.

I want to do it! I can do it! I will do it!

I think I even am doing it ;)
