I wasn’t looking forward to today’s run - so many folks have said week 6 is a toughie after the exhilaration of a 20 minute run in wk5. But.... Thank you Hector! 😄 I felt really stiff & awkward on the first interval, but the second one - wait..what? Where did that 8 mins go..? And the other 5..? I’m lucky enough to run in amazing Scottish scenery and was so exhilarated by the strong gusts & flying leaves that the minutes slipped by unnoticed. So *that’s* what running’s all about 😊😊😊 I know there are good runs & bad runs but by golly the good ones make it all worthwhile. Enjoy your runs today folks xx

Gone With the Wind W6R1
well done to you Captain compass, I went a walk this morning on my rest day and Hector is playing havoc, all those leaves being forced off the trees, I did not see any fallen trees but no doubt there are a few about, good luck with week 7
So true! 😃
I was out with the dog, getting buffetted and having dust blown in my eyes. Really gusting at times. The dog seemed not to notice 😃
Running or run/walking in lovely scenery is great at distracting us 🙂
Absolutely! Simple pleasures 😊
Running suits me. There is always something to see, even when the scenery’s not all o ‘that. You see so much more from a two-legged vantage point. It’s free too
New places means new runs, which gives away-days or holidays, a whole new perspective.
Seeking out new routes is fun. I often recce them beforehand with the dog 🙂
Sounds great!
I also did W6R1 today and did struggle for some reason, thought it wouldn’t have been as bad as W5R3, shame the wind hadn’t been behind me pushing me on!
It sounds like you really did have a good run. Yep, the good ones make the others all worthwhile. 😀
