How many people have lost weight doing this or at least toned up?

WK2R2 feels like I have a long road ahead!

Not sure if I have lost weight since beginning C25K, sometimes when I am out running it seems very slightly that my shorts are a little lose and the ones which were a bit tight before are just right, I was 10st 5 lbs before I started this program and after I finish it I will weigh my self again, remember running alone won't' make you lose weight, diet also is important although to be honest with you I have not cut down in anything I eat.

I have started in conjunction with a healthy eating plan so hopefully i should see a change. Toning up would be great. Fingers crossed 🤞

You are unlikely to see any “weight” loss on the scales. This isn’t to say you aren’t loosing fat, but your legs are putting on muscle. Muscle is denser than fat, so you could gain a visibly small amount of muscle, loose a visibly larger amount of fat and still weigh the same on the scales. The best way to track your progress would be to take measurements of key areas. I lost an inch off my head when I started!😆 my calves and thighs are quiet impressive even if I do say so myself, and I’ve even grown a little slab of muscle down the edge of my shin. I didn’t know there was supposed to be a muscle there. 😳 stick with the plan and you’ll get there.

I tried to do this plan once before and gave up at week 4 as I could not get my breath! My friends all sailed through it. They have a 5k booked in Sept and i would love it if i could suprise them and join in. Hopefully a bit more toned up too 🏃‍♀️

If you’re struggling for breath, slow down a bit. The key is to complete the programme. Not complete it fast. 😉🐌

It's true... you will lose fat but gain muscle. Your clothes will be looser but you may not see weight go down by much.

My scales are fancy so I can see muscle percentage changing. Since starting the programme I have lost 6lb, dropped from 25.7% fat to 24.5% and increased muscle from 34.1% to 35.6% (that's high for women anyway as I have a physical job)

It will undoubtedly make a difference 👍😁

Thats fab 😊

A year on, I weigh exactly the same as when I started but my jeans are 2 sizes smaller and I look narrower! However I no longer think about what I eat, the running keeps me steady I think :)

A bit of both! I started my C25K during the second week of May and about to start W5. I'd been sedentary for over six years so super unfit and heavier than I wanted to be. A combination of the running, cutting right back on my booze intake and filtering out a lot of my carb intake I've managed to shed a stone. I'm delighted, but definitely a combination of all of those things...

I graduated at the end of March and have been running 3 times a week since and have lost about 6lbs since starting the program. I have been careful about what I eat. I run really slowly and I think I burn more calories trying to fasten my sports bra than I do running. I have dropped two dress sizes though!

Oh lord I can relate to the sports bra! That's a warm up all in itself. Well done on dropping the dress sizes :-)

I started c25k at end of April but had already started walking more and strict diet and ive dropped 3 dress sizes n I love going out running now even tho 2days was a mentally hard run. I didn't weight myself yo start but I'm just under 11.5 stone now.

As well as the Running lifestyle change, I have made changes to my eating habits too.

I've found this is definitely slowly toning my body, with the added bonus of also dropping a much needed 15lbs since starting this on April 10th.
