Had a sneaky peek at my next run and I’d assumed it would be a long run. I’m surprised to see it’s not.

Did w6r1 last night. I thought it would be easy after the exhilaration of w5r3. It was a lot harder than id thought despite being 5,8,5. May hold at this run for a few runs, need to catch up with myself a bit, and most of all not do any damage. But hope you enjoy it. Prob loads find it Easy!! Sad face.

Don’t be disheartened! Loads of us struggle with W6 after the high of W5R3. My W6R1 was my worst run of the programme I really struggled. I found things easier from W6R3 onwards when we have continuous runs. Keep going! You’re doing amazingly well. Good luck xx

Did you find the stop/start the challenge?

Well...two things really. First of all I thought 5 8 5 sounded ok compared to a straight 20. But it was pretty tough tbh. I had Kate bush in my ear alongside jo whiley, so all female support team and they did help. Secondly my joints still ached even though it was nearly 48 hours after w5r3. 24 hours on ie now and I’m still feeling wiped out, but I won’t give up. I will not!! Normally the first few mins hurt then it sort of eases, but w6r1 just felt bad. Prob me!!

Wise choices.

Don't be fooled. It's a hard one. Take it slow and steady and you'll do it

The run may not be long but the total workout duration is the first increase since you started W4. Take it slow.

W6 is a tricky one. Lots of people get fooled by it after the high of W5R3. Take it very very gently!! 👍👍

I was wondering what to do about Wk6. I'm away for 4 days and didn't want to start Wk6 before we left so I'm repeating W5r3 twice. Was planning on repeating Wk5r2&3 when I got home before moving on to week 6. Is this advisable, or should I just start in on Wk6r1 and see how it goes?

Tough to decide. Im away for 20 days from tomow so no idea how to play that one. I sometimes think i ll try to just carry on but we re going to Hotland. And as soon as I think that I also think no, I ll just keep repeating w6r1. Sorry to be so undecided!!

Holland will be flat! We are going to Snowdonia! I am not good on hills yet at all!!! I think I will just keep running Wk5r3.

Hotland, not Holland! We driving through Rioca région (I didn’t put that accent there it just appeared) in Spain, before getting to villa which I’ve just twigged is perched on top of a hill! Snowdonia will be cool and undulating if you’re careful. Spain will be hot but I want to keep going! Good luck anyway!!

Oh, my vision!!! You're right--Snowdonia will at least be cooler!!!

No, it’s my fault, it’s easier said than written. Anyway, good luck. We re overnight on the boat so may walk decks, plus villa has gym so may simply use treadmill! Chicken, me? Cluck!!!!

I think I’d use the treadmill if it meant I could avoid getting up at death o’clock to run before it gets too hot. And I’m guessing overnight temps will be pretty warm as well? Good luck xx
