So I got a little bit carried away on run 3.. I decided to attempt a different route. Iβve walked this route many times before and have always wished that I could run it one day.....well today is that day because I did it! I RAN THE FULL ROUTE!!π
When my 28 minutes was up I was just short of completing the full lap, I could literally see the point where I started and thought, βsod it I have to keep going!!!β So my 28 minute run turned into a 30 minute run and I not only managed to run the full lap but I have FINALLY hit the 4km mark too!!
Changing my route has worked absolute wonders for getting my motivation backπMy running partner was waiting for me at the finish line and apparently I shouted (very loudly) YESSS!!! when I passed itπ Completely thought I said that in my head!! Makes me wonder how many times Iβve done that and not knownπ- so apologies in advance to anyone who witnesses me cross my graduation finish line, there might be a few sore earsπ€£

Thank you lovely!πDoesnβt it just!! My previous route I was just running laps (usually about 3 and a half laps of the same route) and it was becoming absolutely mind numbing!! X
Stick with it and you will 100% be able to do it!!π The last time I ran (well tried to run) the route that I did tonight was at week 4 and I failed miserablyπ€£I couldnβt even do the 5 minute runs! Itβs amazing how quickly you improve by following the programme!x
It really dies help changing up your routes doesnβt it! I think I couldβve pushed myself to 5k yesterday but I thought letβs not get too ahead of myself haha! As soon as Iβve finished week 9 I will give it a whirl and see how I get onπ
