W9R2 Sooooo hot πŸ˜“

I changed route tonight which was nice...and a bit flatter. Went through my local park then onto a disused railway line that is now a public footpath. I was aiming to get to the canal by half way as that would have meant I could achieve 5k. I really don't know who I am kidding, there's no way i am going to do 5k by graduation, and it was never really my aim. I just wanted to enjoy running for half an hour. Which I do...so yay! Managed 4.17km in 30 mins which it the fastest and furthest I've ever run in my life. But flip it's hot out there tonight πŸ€’πŸ€’πŸ€’

Yes, it’s certainly hot out there! 🌞😳 Many congratulations on managing to do your best run in this heat, it shows it can be done and how much you can do πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Sounds like a great but hot run. The route sounds good. Good for you! One to go!

Glad you enjoyed the run, speed is over rated anyway!

Can you believe that you could have run like that 8 weeks ago?!!

Can you believe that there is only 1 run left to go too?!!

Never...I even picked up the pace at the end. Never been able to do that before!

Well done! You should be proud of yourself πŸ˜€ I’ve graduated and still wouldn’t be able to run 5k in 30 minutes if there was a million pound prize waiting for me at the end! But I love however much I do ... I’m chuffed that I can actually run for 30 minutes however far or not far that might be 😊

Thanks Bridget. Improving run on run so that's the main thing. Actually it's not the main thing. The main thing is I CAN run!

Wooo! Well done, Saartjie! I’ve had to give up running in the afternoons and shift to the early morning because it’s just too hot for me, so I’m extra-impressed with your achievement!

As I've no doubt mentioned...Am totally rubbish in the mornings on a week day. And I am finding it really relaxes me after a day at work 😊

This part of Canada is HOT in the summer. Personally I try to go out at 6 am if I know it's going to be hot later..

A little NE of Toronto. I like to get the run out of the way 1st thing. The day is calm, the sun is low, not even the dog walkers are out at 6am. I like having that time all to myself. πŸ˜€

Whereabouts are you?

Ha! I’ll tell you, they also run! ;)

I holidayed where the temperature did not drop below 30C for three weeks. That would be approx 10C warmer than our β€˜heatwave’. Add to the fun high humidity which means that you’re sweating when sitting motionless. I had to run right after dawn to make it work and it was fun, l was losing so much liquid through perspiration, it was hilarious. In other words, running where l am (south London) is absolutely ideal. Moderate weather, sometimes warm, never too humid, and there are showers. What’s there not to like, eh? ;)

Well I'm near Manchester so we're definitely not used to hot and dry weather! Well done for running in those conditions...I would have to just hit the pool instead.

Hey, Saartjie - we're at the same point and running at the same speed! I ran this morning and like you took a flatter run and was faster than R1 - dead pleased. I do have a niggly muscle ache, though, so will delay final rum until the weekend.

Well done to you ☺

I was thinking maybe Thursday after work as I have to take daughter to uni open day on Saturday and fathers day on Sunday! Otherwise we could have had a virtual run together! My back ached a bit after so don't know if my posture was a bit off or need to do some core strengthening (quite likely πŸ˜‚)

Good luck for Thursday although you don’t need it as you’re doing great! Virtual run would have been good but I’m definitely taking it easy until the w’end. Hopefully my muscle ache will have gone by then. πŸ™‚
