So, tonight for W4R2 I increased the distance of my training route, it's now up to just over 4.5k. I wanted to see if I could get round within the 30 minute session and . . . . . I DID IT!!!!!
Really pleased because the goal is to be able to complete a 5k run in 30 minutes. So half way through the program and hopefully on track.
Having said that, I have to be very honest, that 4.5k seems a long way without stopping (gulp)!

Hi Blonde, agreed that the program itself is more about running time. The reason time and distance is important for me is because I have signed up to a 5k run after graduating from the program and I had to include an estimated time, which I set at 30-35 minutes. I thought that this was reasonable when compared to regular 5k runners who would look to complete a 5k in around 16-17 minutes.
Superb Blonde. Having a goal to work to certainly has help to focus and motivate me and I am sure it has done the same for you. I am hoping the time I set was not too ambitious and like you, I will be happy just as happy to get over that finish line.
