Woke this morning with all my excuses already lined up waiting for me, (bad weekend, late night, beer, too sunny, no clean gear, etc, etc) but I swatted them away and took off. 20 minutes, TWENTY MINUTES!!
However, surprisingly, the first 5 mins running passed by so quickly I was genuinely surprised when Michael Johnson piped up. The second 5 mins tougher but not awful, and after that it just seemed to actually be possible. That’s the trick I think. Belief.
Anyway, if I can run for 20 mins after a heavy night, and a crap week, in knackered trainers, an old work tee shirt and swimming shorts, then anyone can.

Awesome mate - really fantastic. I did W5R3 this morning and am still buzzing that I completed it. Keep up the good work - you're going to smash it!!!!
Same. W5R3 today. I've been dreading it. I was at a festival all day yesterday, and I was also telling myself that it was fine if I had to walk some bits. The first 5 mins was tough, second 5 minutes was tougher, but by the time I got to the third 5 minutes, I knew I was okay. I actually kept going for 25 minutes in the end. Very very slowly, but I did it. Chuffed to bits.
