I have just run for 20 minutes non stop. The first few minutes were the trickiest but once I had got rid of the gremlins it was great. When I got to the 10 min mark I had a bit of a wobble but then I just seemed to glide. My stride changed and it all became much easier. When I finished. Let out a big whoop and then promptly burst into tears π π. I am a bit of an emotional person. I never ever thought I could run for 20 mins. I am 63, I broke my ankle badly 5 years ago and I havenβt run since I was at school. I am on a massive high. π

Iβm not an emotional person... but that run got me too! Great job. Seems you experienced the βtoxic 10β out there, which is normal, it takes us a little while for all our bodyβs systems to get up to full speed, and so the first 10ish minutes can be the toughest of the whole run. Not much we can do about that other than to set off a little slower than normal and ease into our regular comfortable pace.
Take that high into week 6. Slow and steady is the key to the intervals. Have a wonderful week.
Congratulations to you MoliJ, you deserve to be very proud of yourself and on a massive high.
Well done on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran ππΎ π
