Graduation run today 🙂

Was accompanied by my ever supportive wife on her bike for the usual lap of the lake.

Really should have pulled my finger out and gone at 9am while it was cooler and quieter, but being a night worker it is nice to feel the sun on your bones sometimes.

Furthest distance run in 30 minutes, and although not 5k, I know it will come. It was certainly a new fastest pace for me, probably due to having extra rest days since my last run.

So where next? Well, first, a shower. Then I’m going to lay in the sun all afternoon. I’ve entered myself in a 10k at the end of November because it’s over the road from my house, so I figure I’m going to have a couple days off, consolidate till the end of the month by repeating week 9, then have a look at the c25k+ and bridge to 10k podcasts.

Anyone who knows me personally will be amazed at my completing this program, partly because I’m not fit or thin, but also I rarely finish anything I start. I think that’s testament to the way it builds you up slowly to keep your interest by making sure it’s all achievable. I’m still maybe 4 stone overweight, but I did it. I figure if you trust the program and follow the advice on here anyone can do it.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, just got back from a 10 mile mountain bike ride through the woods, plenty of protein to aid recovery from all the flies I swallowed. 🤢 I figure if I get in the bath now I can call that a triathlon? 🏃🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♂️🏊🏻‍♂️
