So I have had a successful day of no cigarettes which I'm happy about just a bit stressed, and constantly hungry need to figure a few things I can nibble on as I can't keep eating diabetic sweets all the time or I'll get the shits. Really glad iv stuck with it and ready to start day 3

Keep up the good work. I am sure you will feel better in the long term even though it's a hard slog!

Well done you making 2 great lifestyle choices. How about getting some nice fresh carrots and making up bags of carrot sticks to nibble on ? Also drink lots of water because it helps your body during the running and fills you up.

Well done.

Taking on two challenges at once is not making it any easier for you, but I admire your determination and the results could be spectacular, in terms of your long term health prospects.

Something low calorie, such as the carrots suggested above, seems like a good idea. When I gave up smoking, many lifetimes ago, it was the habit of lighting up at every tea and coffee break that was hardest to break. Finding something to do with your hands at such moments can help, so maybe write a blog on your phone about your progress in quitting smoking and in starting to run, might help. Just send us another progress report.

You can do this.

Well done 👍🏻 Thats going to be my next challenge! Ive lost the weight, im halfway through c25k, so the next thing to go has to be the cigs. Keep us updated!

Think about the cash..no cigs= more in the bank💰🤑Think of all the lycra running outfits you can get ....😱

Seriously I bet it's not easy..I've considered giving up alcohol but a nice glass of chilled white is so much part of my social life and my way of relaxing whilst am prepare food that t would be tough..just knowing something ain't good for us isn't enough sometimes..
