W7R1 . . . . What a difference 2 days rest makes!

We ended week 6 with a 25 minute run, which bordered on a disaster. I don't think I was mentally or physically in "the zone" on Saturday. Even down to not wearing my normal running gear, nothing felt right. Result - barely got through the session and dreading W7R1.

Two days on . . . . what a difference. Focused, ready and determined to get it right (including wearing the right gear). Result - a very successful session. Completed the 25 minute run with no problems and looking forward positively to Thursday W7R2.

Brilliant! Well done. I struggled with that one but did R2 today & found it (not easy) but easier. Good luck for R2.

Same here! My W6R3 was tough, and my legs really ached afterwards so I had 2 days rest and really felt the difference for W7R1! So much so that I think I may make this my new routine... 2 days between runs rather than every other day... Week 7 has actually been quite enjoyable so far (a coast run helped this morning as we're away on holiday!)

Love the commitment, running on holiday! Got to admit, went away for a weekend a couple of weeks ago and still made time to fit in the planned run. I was well chuffed :)

Well it had to be done really... It would have been rude not to have run along a beautiful Pembrokeshire beach instead of my usual Coventry route! 😉😉😉

I hope my next run is better than my last!

Well done!

It's always a worry that a bad run will affect future runs, but I think that is where that "positive mental attitude" thingamajig kicks in. Gotta put those bad runs behind you and look forward. Stay positive and enjoy it. :)

Thank you! 🎓 in sight for you 👌🏽

I totally get this. Every day I want to run, but I follow advice and have a rest day. When I have 2, it's fantastic, I can run and run and run. But it's hard to sit it out - when did we become obsessed??? Did Laura slide some subliminal messages in there!? 🏃‍♀️💨💨💨
