Monday = runday. Out of bed, quick coffee and glass of water and out of the door. We had a huge thunderstorm yesterday afternoon and the lovely Shropshire lanes that make up my C25K circuit have huge puddles; my lovely running shoes are not so lovely any more.
I was amazed to see so many other runners today - I don't normally see another soul apart from the odd dog-walker. It dawned on me half way round that it's a bank holiday!
Anyhow, that’s another one done. The 3 minutes runs seemed to go on for ever, but I made it. Knackered but happy.

I also completed my wk 3 R1 today and upping the run time to 3 minutes was tough, and especially in the heat (21c!) to the point where I felt like I couldnt stand it!
My w3r1 is coming! Waiting for it to cool a little. Trying not to think about the 3 minutes, plan run slowly, not look ahead, that's because I see a goal to run too and listen out for Sarah to say well done pet slow down for your walk. Well done on your run
Hi Telford_Mike, it's great that those runners can go out just after a thunderstorm, I live in Scotland where so far we have missed the thunder and lightning, that photo reminds me of what most of our country lanes are like from November to April, just now we have local dust storms and heathland fires as there has been no appreciable rain now for over 3 weeks, not a drought yet but it won't be too long if this dry spell continues. BTW I completed week 6 run 3 this morning before the heat started. I ran when the temp was 12c, this afternoon it got to 26c, about 80f.
