I have been very busy so I missed running for 5 days. I am a morning person and just cannot face running in the evening. I went out this morning about 6.30 but it is so muggy. I managed a very slow jog. Apart from stops to cross roads I did 28 mins run but it is so hard. A few days off
and it is hard to get going again. It took a while to convince myself to get out and I wish I had got out earlier. How on earth does anyone do this later in the day when it is hotter.

I’m with you oldperson71. I too am a morning runner and have been asked to join a friend at a local running club but they run at 7pm!!! Yes! 7pm!! My body’s not up to it! 😂
It has affected many of us... very many; the posts I have replied to, have all echoed this. I do not think your days off were the reason for the hard run...
I should have done a long 12 K + yesterday ( part of my HM plan) but.. like you I got out there and simply could not do more than 5K!
You did well to run.. the air is thick with pollen, ( I am allergic to tree pollen at this time), and it makes for hard going..you were out early.. I was later yesterday!
Very well done you... and I hope you find your next run pleasanter
I've just got in from this run - meant to go out really early but somehow life intervened. 2pm was a very bad idea - I'm shattered! Still wk 9 is only an extra 2 minutes - manageable if I can do this one in this humidity.
Well done for completing it. I found that run really really hard. I was out by 6.00 today. It was lovely. I would love to go out anytime but have a thing about going later when people are around. I had hoped to be over this by now but still self conscious . Wk9 coming up for me- us oldies can do this!
Thanks I also like to get out before everyone else. There is a run I can do straight form my house which is flat and I can get in about 5k. At 6.30 -7.00 hardly anyone is about maybe a couple of cars pass me as it is a very quite lane. My favourite circuit is about a 5 minute drive away but is popular with dog walkers and runners as it is not by a road. I am slowly getting less self conscious and other (much faster) runners will wave to nod as they pass. I must admit it makes me feel as I belong to a runner club! I just keep saying however slow I go I am still going faster than someone who is sitting down.
Keep up the good work you are so close to graduating, well done
