W8R1 Bitter/sweet!

I've got to have my ICD (defibrillator) changed so want to get C25K done before that interrupts my progress (Bitter!). The cardioligist says I'm OK to run in the meantime (Sweet!). Did my W8R1 this morning without any real distress and yet again enjoyed running in the sunshine (Sweet!). Messed up my new route and landed up nearly 30 minutes walk away from home at the end (Bitter!). Tracked just the running bit with Mapmyrun, 2.5 km only in 30 minutes - MUCH slower than I can walk (Bitter! I know all about the "endurance not speed" message, but very disappointing all the same). I'm going to try very hard to get to the end before that ICD change, so watch this space......

You are doing so well, davidhwynn ! I know it's been a struggle for you but you've progressed in leaps and bounds – well, maybe shuffles and jogs, which is what will get you to the end. Best of luck for your next few (!) runs.

Well done - it doesn't matter how far you run, as long as you run (at least that's what I keep telling myself!!) 😁

You are a marvel...and with all the ICD issue going on... so inspiring for us all on here. Plus enjoying it too ( most of the time now)

Keep at it David...( I am not going to say it, :) )... because you will get there...it will happen.. just keep doing what you are doing..:)

You are so nearly there David. Your perseverance knows no bounds.

Thanks, I know what you mean, but then maybe a few "bounds" would help speed me up?? If I'm careful and avoid IC then I already know I can run 30 minutes because I've done it more than once - naughty I know, and I've been told off already .....
