I'm thinking of flunking run 3, because who am I going to chat to when Laura leaves me?
This week, she suggested I should get my own playlist together, so that's a pretty broad hint that she thinks our relationship has run its course.
I can't believe I'm the person who a few weeks ago, thought he was heading for a heart attack when the prospect of a FIVE-MINUTE (!) run was looming.
On Sunday, I did my 30 minutes for R1, then just kept going so that I could actually do a 5k. (5.6k, as it turned out.)
Nowadays when I finish, instead of worrying about a heart attack, I'm firing up my Fitbit app to check my 1km split times! I think I might be turning into a runner!
On Saturday, I'm going to do my first Parkrun, so on Thursday, for W9 R3, I shall do five laps of my local lake-shore, which is just under 6k, to give me extra confidence.
Incidentally, in case anyone's wondering if they're too old for the course, I shall be 69 in a week.
Just rely on Laura!
