Holiday break without Laura

Hi

Just did W3 R1 - yesterday, plan - I say plan - to finish R3 on Thursday. Friday flying off to hot place, for a week. I'm not going to run but plan on swimming lots instead. I also plan to repeat W3 on my return. Would you all recomend this or have a go at W4?

P.S I don't know what Laura has in store for W4 and not to sure if I want to know, so descriptive words will do, don't mention minutes - thanks

I've only just started W2 so can't reveal any secrets about W4 lol. But I too will be away in a hot place during the programme - I plan on finding a treadmill.

I'd literally never thought of that, just checked out details of hotel, and yes I've seen a picture of a treadmill - uuhhmmm let's think on this one? I friend booked it last minute that's why I didn't know. Honest

you could try running early in the morning.....I just got back from Spain and ran at 8 in the morning....everyone else still sleeping when I got back to the house but great feeling of achievement and extra guilt free glass of rose!

I took my running gear to Thassos, Greece and ran at 6.30 in the morning! So lovely to be running alongside the Aegean Sea!

I've taken my running gear to Berlin and next week I'm taking it to Portugal. I suggest you run early in the morning and not break the good habit. Happy holidays and happy running!

I took my running stuff to Ibiza, but decided it was too hot to run, so have not run for two weeks. Now need to decide where to start, I'd got as far as W6R1.

Same as many of the others for me as well! I carried on running on holiday but just made an effort to get up early-ish to beat the heat. It's very uplifting as you get to explore and see your destination in a different light. And, in my case, the resort gardeners and maintenance folk were out at that time so I got a great cool down whilst running through the sprinklers ... they were overshooting onto the pavement, I didn't just randomly run through someone's garden!!

Something tells me I'll be going to bed very late, therefore not too sure how early I can rise.

You could always have a siesta on a sun lounger to compensate!!

I think if the heat is going to be a factor then your original plan of swimming is sound ... then there's also more room in your suitcase for other, more essential, things as well! Have a go at Week 3 for the first run back and judge it from there. Happy hols!
