Forget Harry & Meghan, now there’s a real reason to celebrate as I’ve only gone and done it!! The whole programme completed and, after 9 weeks, I’m still alive, I can still walk, no one laughed at me and I only fell over once!! I even ran with foam oozing out of my trainers after my kids “helpfully” cleaned them for me but didn’t tell me they’d used fairy liquid 🤦♀️😂!!!
It was a bit of an emotional moment when Jo signed off for the last time and this morning’s run was particularly special as I achieved PB’s for pace and distance, tackled a fairly steep hill that I’d been avoiding and also had the confidence to run past the many Park Runners (who were gathering near my finishing point) with my head held high. A far cry from 2 months ago when I’d deliberately avoid anyone running towards me.
Next up, I might just join in on those Park Runs but going to continue with 3 x 30 mins for a couple more weeks just to see if I can improve my pace.
Good luck to everyone, where ever you are on the programme. I’m so glad I started it and I know you will be too. Happy running!!!
