Graduation Run Done

Hi everyone again! Started Couch 2 5K in January 2015. I have just finished the 9 week programme after an injury break early on - but I am now 2 stone down and thgouht what better way than to end it on the local 5k Park Run. The first time I tried a park run I had to walk a bit of it. But this time I did the whole 4 laps - 5k non stop. Feeling good and it can be done no matter what shape you are. I started off this journey at nearly 17 stone. I have a 3 year old girl but luckily my partner looks after her while I go to the gym. My little girl cheered me all the way round and I felt so proud and it made me find the strngth for the up-hills. Never thought that when I was starting week 1 - that I would be running for 37 minutes non stop!

Well done you! Isn't it the best feeling to get through the full nine weeks, such an achievement.

I think the beauty of the programme is that it really is for everyone, regardless of age, weight, fitness etc and it makes you feel amazing each and every time you complete a run.

Happy running from now on!

Thank you everyone. I got my graduation badge! Yippeee. I have signed myself upto the Race For Life to keep me motivated. Any other runs people are aware of? I think these will keep me motivated not to slip back into old ways.
